The Ontario Curling Council is the Provincial Sport Organization for Curling in Ontario
High-performance Programs and Services
The Ontario Curling Council is responsible for providing High-performance services in Ontario to develop athletes in the Train-to-Train through the Train-to-Compete Stages of the Long Term Curler Development Model (LTCD).
Together with Curling Canada, the Ontario Curling Council will work to advance the skills of athletes through direct athlete training and coach development. Programs and training opportunities will vary based on the age/stage of athlete and placement on the Curling Canada’s Gold Medal Profile (Olympic Podium benchmarks). Some programs may be subsidized, while others may be user pay.
The Ontario Curling Council will also leverage High Performance Opportunities from multi-sport providers including but not limited to;
- Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario (CSIO)
- Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries (MHSTCI)
- ParaSport Ontario
- Canadian Olympic Committee/Own the Podium
- Canadian Paralympic Committee
