The Ontario Curling Council is now accepting applications for it’s 2020-2021 Next Gen “Return to Training” Program.
This year’s program will focus on supporting teams with their training, so that when we are able to return to competition, we are ready.
Program Scope
The Ontario Curling Council will support ten (10) teams and four (4) individuals in their training efforts for the 2020-2021 season.
Teams/Athletes should only apply if they are actively training this season.
Tier 1: Six Teams will be supported at a rate of $5000.00 per team. These teams will be supported specifically through our Ontario High Performance Sport Initiative (OHPSI) partnership with the Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario.
- One female U18/U20 team from NOCA region
- One female U18/U20 team from CurlON region
- One male U18/U20 team from NOCA region
- One male U18/U20 team from CurlON region
- One female U25 team (aggregate age of 105*) from either NOCA or CurlON region
- One male U25 team (aggregate age of 105*) from either NOCA or CurlON region
Tier 2: Two teams will be supported at a rate of $3000.00 per team
- One female U18/U20 team from either NOCA or CurlON region
- One male U18/U20 team from either NOCA or CurlON region
Tier 3:
Four individuals who are active Mixed Doubles players will be supported at a rate of $750.00 per person.
- Two female individuals (age 35 or less) from either NOCA/CurlON region
- Two male individuals (age 35 or less) from either NOCA/CurlON region
Two wheelchair teams who will be supported at a rate of $1500.00
- One wheelchair team from NOCA region
- One wheelchair team from CurlON region
