Once again the OCC will host eight (8) Talent ID/Development Camps this spring. Young curlers age 13-20 are welcome to attend any of the eight camps to work with Provincial Coaches.
Curlers will register as individuals. Curler’s skills will be assessed in the morning and the focus will then turn to development in the afternoon where curlers will rotate through stations to work on a variety of skills and drills.
Coaches are not required for the event, but are encouraged to attend for professional development. Coaches will have a three hour off ice session working on end of season and off season activities such as Season Debriefing, Gap Analysis, Goal Setting and Off-Season Planning. In the afternoon, coaches will circulate through skill development stations with the athletes.
Results from these talent identification camps will feed into applications for 2017-2018 OCC Programming.
The majority of these camps were oversubscribed last year – do not hesitate, space is limited and registration deadlines are in effect.
