The Ontario Curling Council through the support of the Northern Ontario Curling Association is offering a Curling Canada Game Umpire workshop (formerly Level 2 Umpire training) on March 28-29, 2025 at the Curl Sudbury in Sudbury.
Registration
Registration is done through Curling I/O and the registration link can be found HERE or on the Officials Pathway page. Cost is $75 plus HST, which includes the certification fee. For umpires with prior training and who qualify for refresher training, the fee is $30 plus HST.

Prerequisites
Participants must have Game Time Clock Operator/Observer Certification (Online Course).
Requirements for Certification
- Attend a Game Umpire Training Course Complete and pass the Game Umpire exam (open book); 70% required
- Complete the practical requirement of a minimum of six games total of game umpire experience at two Curling Canada Member Association championships under the supervision of Level 3, 4 or 5 Chief Umpires and receive positive evaluations.
