Ontario Winter Games U18 Men’s & Women’s Qualifiers: The Field Is Set!

Congratulations to the outstanding U18 Men’s and Women’s teams who earned their spot at the 2026 Ontario Winter Games after an exciting weekend of qualifiers held across the province.

With competition spread across five host locations, a total of 52 teams27 men’s teams and 25 women’s teams—battled for just six coveted Ontario Winter Games berths. Every end mattered, and the level of play showcased the depth of talent developing across Ontario.

York Qualifiers

  • Women: Team Wilson  (Charlotte Wilson, Amelia Benning, Abby Rushton, Sydney Anderson)
  • Men: Team Fisher (Ryne Fisher, Alexander Greenwood, Owen Porteous, Andrew Jackson) Team Newport (Trent Newport, Brodie Johnston, Isaac Cram, Gavyn Harwood)

Midland Qualifiers

  • Women: Team Moore (Olivia Moore, Marin Graham, Natalia Sharpe, Olivia Mitchell) Team Penston (Lauren Penston, Emily St Croix, Rachel Nichol, MacKenzie Crowley)
  • Men: Team MacTavish (Owen MacTavish, Remy Pietrangelo, Cameron Wright, Logan Desormeau)

Niagara Falls Qualifiers

  • Women: Team Garrie (Madeleine Garrie, Raina Phillips, Danika Keeler, Maisie Cram)
  • Men: Team Genjaga (Aaron Genjaga, Aidan Campbell, Theo Barbosa, Jonathan Blais)

Kakabeka Falls Qualifiers

  • Women: Team Wright (Lily Wright, Bella McCarville, Aili Chabot, Isabella Bron)
  • Men: Team Curtis (Jacob Curtis, Warren Stroud, Owen Weiss, Kain Cristofaro)

Horne Granite Qualifiers

  • Women: Team Baker (Rhya Baker, Jorja Catt, Sydney Catt, Caleigh Holmes)
  • Men: Team Winters (Riley Winters, Wesley Decary, Grayson Gribbon, Aidan Baxter)

What’s Next? Mixed Doubles Qualifiers

The action continues with Mixed Doubles Qualifiers taking place January 9–11, 2026, at locations across the province.

The City of Orillia will host the 2026 Ontario Winter Games, with curling events taking place February 19–22, 2026, during the opening weekend of the Games.
