If you are not a member of a CurlON\, NOCA or sanctioned out of province association then this program is not available to you. \nClub Coach Youth is designed for coaches who do not require certification but become involved on a voluntary (and often short-term) basis. Participants tend to work with curlers of all ages who are new to the sport\, but most particularly with Little Rock Curlers. Coaches who take this one day (1 day) workshop will become “Club Coach Youth Trained”. This coach will be able to instruct beginning curlers and youth curlers. DESCRIPTION:October 1\, 2019 7pm – 8pm EST \n \nThis webinar will focus on a technique that will help athletes develop consistent draw weight sooner. Maurice will present the physical skills that can result in a higher percentage of draw shots being made. \nMaurice Wilson has coached for 30 years in various sports from fast-pitch softball at a national level\, to basketball\, soccer\, track & field\, cricket and ice hockey at a senior level. He is an NCCP Competition Development certified coach & evaluator for Curling and has coached 16 teams to the provincials and 5 to nationals. \nCertified Coaches will receive one (1) Professional Development Credit towards their NCCP Maintenance of Certification. \nThis webinar will focus on a technique that will help athletes develop consistent draw weight sooner. DESCRIPTION:September 27\, 2019 \n6pm to 10pm \n \n**Ontario Curling Council programs are ONLY available to registrants of our member associations CurlON and NOCA and to registered members of out of province associations. If you are not a member of a CurlON\, NOCA or sanctioned out of province association then this program is not available to you. \nBy successfully completing the Make Ethical Decisions (MED) training\, coaches will be fully equipped to handle ethical situations with confidence and surety. MED training helps coaches identify the legal\, ethical\, and moral implications of difficult situations that present themselves in the world of team and individual sport. \nMED training is a cornerstone of the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)\, and leaves coaches with no doubt as to what to do when the going gets tough. \nMake Ethical Decisions – Curling\, is the same as the Multisport MED workshop but is available only to curling coaches and is delivered by Curling Coach Developers. \nCoaches who complete this workshop will be able to access the MED online evaluation free of charge.
