Amethyst Curling Camp

Amethyst Curling Camp

The Amethyst Curling Camp is a premier curling experience for curlers aged 12 to 18 years as of the start of camp.  We are happy to announce that once again the camp be hosted by the North Bay Granite Club in North Bay, Ontario.

This year (2023) the camp will start on Sunday evening, July 9 and conclude on Friday July 14.

Campers can expect a first-class curling experience at the camp led by knowledgeable and certified instructors. Cost includes accommodation, meals, transportation within the camp and of course all activities including curling instruction.

The camp is more than just curling training. Our mission is to provide a memorable, fun and positive experience while at the same time making a significant impact on their curling development. We place a high priority on the experience as whole and make considerable efforts to include activities that encourage kids to make new friends and generally enjoy their time with us.

Campers have two attendance options: they can stay overnight during the camp, or commute to the North Bay Granite Club each day. Those campers who choose to stay overnight will reside at the Canadore College residences. Those not staying in residence are asked to register at the North Bay Granite Club in the afternoon of July 9 as there will be on-ice activities that evening. Overnight campers can be dropped off at the club the evening of the 9th at approximately 8pm.

Campers who are commuting to camp should arrive by 8:30 am and be picked up at approximately 11:00pm each evening. Those not staying overnight will be offered breakfast, lunch and dinner and will participate in all camp activities, both during the day and in the evening.

Final pickup for all campers on July 14 will be at approximately 1:00 pm.

All campers will be primarily divided into groups based on age.  The camp is an individual camp, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that teams who attend camp will be placed in the same group.

Registration

Registration is now closed!  The camp is accepting folks to our wait list  but there is no guarantee those on the waitlist will be able to attend camp.

Campers have two options:

  • with overnight accommodations, or
  • without accommodations.

When registering please make sure you choose the option intended.  We will not be able to make last minute arrangements to add accommodations for you. You will need a Curler Profile in order to register. All campers will be required to complete some Safe Sport training prior to camp. That information will be sent separately after registration is complete.

We look forward to seeing you in North Bay!
