The Ontario Curling Council (OCC) is encouraging curlers, coaches, and clubs to start planning now for the 2025-2026 curling season! Whether you’re an athlete looking to improve your game, a coach seeking certification, or a club planning development opportunities, OCC offers a range of programs to help you succeed.

Hosts Needed for Courses & Events

The Ontario Curling Council is seeking clubs and venues to host upcoming courses, workshops, and competitions, including Ontario Winter Games qualifiers. Hosting is a fantastic way to bring development opportunities to your local community while supporting the growth of curling across the province. If your club is interested in hosting an event, please reach out to education@ontcurl.com to start your planning.

OCC Courses, Workshops & Events – Host Clubs are needed for all events.

Competition Coach Course – Designed for those looking to coach competitive teams, this course provides certification and the tools needed to guide athletes to success.

Club Coach Course – Perfect for those coaching at the grassroots level, this course focuses on instruction for beginners and club-level curlers. (also available as a 1-day Club Coach Youth course)

Ice Technician Training – Learn the art and science of creating top-quality curling ice through hands-on workshops led by industry professionals.

Athlete Development Camps – Tailored training camps to help curlers of all ages and skill levels enhance their technique, strategy, and mental game.

Women in Coaching Initiatives – Special programs aimed at increasing female representation in coaching through training and mentorship opportunities.

Wheelchair Curling Development Programs – Expanding access and opportunities for adaptive athletes to participate in the sport.

U15 Triples Cup Events – Fast-paced and exciting, these events introduce young curlers to a modified triples format, allowing for more rock throwing and strategic development in a fun competition setting.

Ontario Winter Games Qualifiers – Competitive teams looking to participate in the prestigious Ontario Winter Games should begin preparing now, as qualifiers will take place beginning in the fall. Stay tuned for registration details and event locations!

Umpire Certification Courses – Become a certified curling umpire and support competitions at local, provincial, and national levels.
