Erin is the new Manager of Programs and Operations for the Ontario Curling Council, taking over from longtime manager Jennifer Ferris who has taken on a full-time role as the Sport Safety and Education Officer with Curling Canada.
Erin Jarvis’ career is a proof to her enduring passion for sports, spanning over three decades and a wide range of disciplines. From her early years in synchronized swimming and downhill racing to her involvement in barefoot waterskiing, karate, hockey, gymnastics, sailing, and paddling, Erin has consistently demonstrated a deep love for athletic pursuits.
Initially recognized for her talents across numerous sports, Erin transitioned into a successful 30-year career as a stunt performer in film and television. Her credits includes hundreds of appearances in movies, television shows, and commercials filmed in Toronto. During her film career, it was her passion for sport and athlete development lead her to coaching gymnastics, and eventually into sport administration.
Before joining the Ontario Curling Council (OCC), Erin honed her leadership skills as the Executive Director at Dynamo Gymnastics training centre and as the General Manager of the Humber Bay Sailing Centre. Her move to OCC marks an exciting new chapter where she brings her extensive experience in recreational, competitive, and high-performance sports to the PSO level.
At the OCC, Erin plans to leverage her background sport administration and grassroots recreational sports to advance the council’s mission and strategic goals. Her dedication to supporting both community and high-performance sports continues to drive her, as she looks forward to contributing to the growth and success of curling in Ontario.
